We are a circle...
We reach out a hand or a mind to connect
The next one reaches out a hand or a mind to connect
And then the next one a hand or a mind to connect

And with a New Year beginning
It is time to reflect

We are friends many without faces
We are friends many without voices
We are friends of the mind
We are friends of the heart
We are friends of the soul

We are sisters and brothers many without faces
We are sisters and brothers many without voices
We are sisters and brothers of the mind
We are sisters and brothers of the heart
We are sisters and brothers of the soul

We celebrate with one another
We mourn with one another
We laugh with one another
We cry with one another
We worry with one another
We share all that life has handed us

Some we have connected to
Others we respond to
We connect off board
We connect by phone
We connect by email
We connect by photos
We even connect by jokes
And surprisingly
We connect my snail mail

The negative emotions drain you
The joy and laughter we have found rebuild your spirit.
The friendship is priceless

To all we wish a better journey
To all we wish an ease to the sorrows suffered
To all we wish a better more secure tomorrow
To all we wish the knowledge that they have done no wrong
To all we wish the knowledge that they are walking a path not alone and isolated
But many are with them, sometimes leading and sometimes following

My hope is for more safe and secure children
My hope is for the guidance to reach out and touch those that need it
My hope is for the wisdom to reach out and touch those that need it
My hope is for new legislation
My hope is for a new awareness
My hope is for peace within ourselves
My hope is for joy
My hope is for laughter
My hope is for dreams fulfilled
My hope is for the strength to face what is handed to me and others
My hope is for the knowledge to get where I am going and hope others follow or walk beside me
